3 Pain Points I Hear Everyday From My Clients
Most people would rather be at the dentist than get their headshot taken. I understand this and work to create a laid back atmosphere to eliminate any insecurities my clients has before we start shooting.
Here are 3 pain points I hear everyday when clients walk in my studio:
I'm not photogenic - Everyone is photogenic and has several images of themselves they love. Taking a great picture has more to do with being comfortable in front of the camera and letting your confidence shin through. Starting the session off with conversation helps me take note of your insecurities, natural movements, and authentic smile. This way I know how to position you at the very start and take a portrait that flatters you.
I hate having my picture taken - One way to take a great photo is to want to be in the photo. I understand this because I'm the same way so it is easy to empathize with my client. Starting the session off with a positive mindset and realizing how much value you are adding to your personal brand can counter this.
I don't look like the model you just photographed - People assume attraction is one of the keys to taking a great photo. How attractive you are plays a very small role in taking a great photo. Confidence along with displaying your personality is the key ingredients for taking a great photo. Having fun and engaging with the photographer will deliver images you are proud of.
There are so many insecurities people have when it comes to getting a professional portrait taken. Just like anything else in life, people will count themselves out before any action is taking. Shifting into a positive mindset and focusing on your recent wins will eliminate these pain points for your next photoshoot.
